The Training Philosophy

Strength & Power

Building the foundational capacity needed for high-performance activities like cycling and swimming.

Technical Precision

Focusing on the mechanics of movement to ensure responsiveness in dynamic environments like wing foiling.

Longevity

Applying rigorous discipline to fitness to protect the "human capital" required for a lifelong active lifestyle.

Peak Physical Performance: The Outlier Armor

A common misconception in fitness is that physical decline is a steep, inescapable cliff. The biological reality of sarcopenia—the natural degradation of fast-twitch muscle fibers—is real. However, the data reveals a massive loophole: The Outlier Baseline.

If you build an elite functional baseline in your youth, or rigorously engineer one later in life, you do not avoid the biological "age penalty"—you simply absorb it. You can sustain decades of natural decline and still physically overpower the average prime-age adult.

Consider the math of "The Tied Game": A 62-year-old man operating in the Top 20% of active gym-goers can press roughly 1.07x his own body weight. If you map that exact ratio backward on the timeline, he is perfectly tied with a completely average 20-year-old at his absolute biological peak. The 62-year-old has absorbed forty years of physical aging, yet effectively operates in the body of a prime-age adult.

To measure true systemic longevity, we track three distinct biological markers:

The Baseline Context: Before reviewing the benchmarks, it is critical to understand the sample size. These tables measure the active gym-going population, which represents only the top 20% of the general public. Therefore, operating at the 50th percentile (Midpoint) on these charts already places you in the top 10% of all men your age globally. Hitting the Top 20% on these tables means you possess a functional capacity that 96% of the general population physically does not have.

Find your age and target percentiles below to see exactly where your physical engine ranks across the human timeline.

Peak Cognitive Performance

A common misconception is that our intellectual prime ends in our thirties. The biological reality is that human intelligence operates in two distinct, sequential waves: Processing Power and Wisdom.

In our twenties, our Fluid Intelligence hits its absolute peak. But as that stabilizes, a second, highly leveraged wave takes over: Crystallized Intelligence. This pattern recognition engine continues to compound well into our late sixties and seventies.

Adjust the role weighting to see how the demand for Processing Power vs. Wisdom shifts peak performance age.
